Chapter 1. Trying Out Source Code

To run PPL code you first have to install PPL.

A simple way to try out source code is to use PPL's single script file execution feature. Here is an example of how to proceed:

  1. Create file hello.ppl with the following content:

    repeat 3 times
       OS.out.write_line ( "Hello world" )
  2. Execute the script with the following OS command:

    ppl hello.ppl
  3. Result:

    Hello world
    Hello world
    Hello world

More ways to execute code are explained here.
